Hi all
I have a 98 RF600RR and would like more POWER, i have dyno stage 1, k&n and stumpy Micron end can. I would like to do some more mods to get more power from the bike any suggestions i was thinking of stainless manifolds.

Also i am thinking of doing an engine swap to RF900 would this be possible without much hastle or would there be a better engine that anyone would suggest?

Thanks

the manifolds been stainless won't make any difference m8. save your money. you could always sell the 600 and buy a 900. it would be the cheapest way to go. how fast are you wanting to go before the 600 motor goes bang.

Thanks for the info on the manifolds. Yeah i have thought of the consequences to modding the engine but the reason i want more power is that i have streetfighted my RF and would like to make up the difference from loosing the fairings. I also want to keep the bike as i have put a lot of time and work into making it into the way i want it. At the moment my engine is running 86bhp to the back wheel with current mods.

a good service will see that come up.
after that your looking at stage 3. so cone filters/jets/needles, timing advance, ported and polish head to get fuel in and gas out quicker. then its cam profiling bigger valves ram air or turbo etc.

there is no replacement for displacement though.

from memory a 9 will fit with some work.

Hi Pritchi,

I'm not sure if you really want this.
Suzuki designed the RF600 to be tame, in order to handle better.
If you have Dyno stage 1, you must be familiar with a test bank.
When on the bank, try to get the nozzles out and unhook the hoses from the airbox.

Your former tame working horse changes in a wild pony, the slow gas response changes in a difficult to control and nervous bike. Not nice at all.
(When I tryed this, it shook almost out of it's safety pins)
Why don't you go for different sprockets ? Cheaper and easier to control.
Good luck, still do not think that 600RF is suitable to be transformed to a power package, much too lardy.
