Anybody gone up one tooth on the front? I wouldn't mind it being a bit lazier at the speeds I sit at, as said there's enough grunt not to worry about a slight loss in acceleration :)

1000 rpm = 14.8 mph. 6000 rpm = 88.8 mph. As my bike is only doing 85mph indicated, 82/83 mph true I wonder if the previous owner has gone down to 13 on the front. This bike is the most powerfull bike I have owned and it does have blistering acceleration. for me but I have not attempted to go flat out as the conditions have not been suitable.
If it has been lowered it would then top out at a lower speed or over rev.
I think I am now too old / wise / ??????? to attempt top out on the open road.

I think I'll go for the 17 / 43 combination when I change the chain & sprockets.

the fact you have the 17 at the front negates the extra 2 at the rear m8.

As standard its 15 front 43 rear.. so all you have is an equivalent ratio to standard.

all the spec sheets I have seen state 14 teeth front. When you search
the online shops they say 15 teeth on the front,

Hi lads
I went down to a 14 tooth front for a week or two but this made 1st gear a wast of time.the bike could quite happily pull away in 2nd from stand still. It would red line at 155 mph.I also had more vibration ,and think this is down to the chain making a tighter turn around the sprocket.
