The MOT only stipulates brake lights must be visible and clearly distinguishable from the running lights, it doesnt say you cant change them from standard.

Until, that is, a tester gets blinded whilst testing an RF with the mod :lol:

A huge thanks go out to my neighbour who sorted this for me.
1st pic is brakes on, 2nd pic is with the normal running lights.

I've not altered the bulb in the top lens at all, however the large lens now has wiring from a GSXR1000 K1 (stop and tail twin filament bulbs) mated to the existing loom - took a bit of working out but my mate has tidied it up really well (more pics to come).

my bike went straight through the mot 2 weeks ago the lad testing the bike said well they work and ask for his sun glasses

so looks like the lights pass muster ...... oh yeah

Since my Rf has most o the bodywork/seat etc off at the moment I think I will have a wee nosey at my rear light cluster & possibly modify it since I will be doing other work to the bike.

Glad i found this forum.

Gets another one of these underarted bikes back on the road. And safer too.
