If you can make them from stainless you'd be better off.

I've got some stainless 3/16 rod here to make some up. Been unable to sort out how to drill the bar for the R pins.

Thanks Novo. I know how to just don't have all the tools to do the job. Once I have then I can make a few sets of 3/16th pins for people who want them.

sorry mate didn't mean to make it sound like i was teaching you how to suck eggs.
i get into the habit of putting things into as simple terms as i can for people who shouldn't be doing things. i forget that on this forum i'm talking to intelligent people more of the time.

The only jobs I can't do is weld, spray paint with an airgun and serious electrics.

rear brake is done. made a set of pins then the old men sent me set because and i quote "i was just passing carrs and thought i'd ask" so got them sat ready now.

now onto the front brakes.

doing one side right now. and guess what. the pistons are well and trully stuck in. even using the brake to push them out has failled on one of them (it has moved it but it's still stuck)

so new pistons and seals are winging there way to me for monday.
got them from these guys.
they are the cheapest i found.

it better go though it's MOT after all this.

Unusual for one to move then stick solid. Could just be caught on the seal. There are piston puller kits you can buy, expensive but do the job on modern callipers if they truely stuck.

Normally I can get them out by working them in and out.

Once its done your brakes should be better than they have been.
