Can you stick an ohm-meter across the pinks to see what it reads?

This is another box of tricks you can stick on your RF! I fancy one myself but don't like the asking price.....

Jesus thats a lot of cash for 9 bhp. I think the RF9 is fine for road use. It far surpasses my abilities as it is.

Jst been out for a run with the box removed, and the pink wire disconnected, and the bike will not rev above 8000 in any gear. Not had a chance to put a meter on the box yet, left my multimeter at work. Didn't go too far, as I was getting bad carb icing, I take it early models didn't have heaters?

Could it be a speed limiter like they have on the japanese cars that limits them to 112MPH perhaps ??????.

Or the other way round..

It has a speed limiter built in, and that box of tricks over rides it...

Help for my rf600 it goes into 2nd ok but under power jumps like a bad missfire no gear box noise only only in second gear. It sounds the same as the PINK wire? Does any one know if a late model RF600 has the pink wire  At first I thought it was a missfire changed the plugs, coils and the CDI then I heard about the 2nd gear problems with RFs but my bikes symtums sound the same as in this post?

sorry no pink wire on the 600.

It is your second gear im afraid, the selector will be bent so its causing it to jump, im guessing its at high revs.
