Yep thats right, you must use a prefix ( or registration year ) the same as or older than the vehicle.

DVLA seem to have lots of R900 ***.

R900 KRW (me initials) is there but £245 :o

I was offered A1NRW in exchange for mine, i considered it as thats my initials but then decided against it cos i have got quite attached to the rf one

Yep that's exactly what mine cost from DVLA also and only had to pop along to the office in Maidstone for them to transfer all the docs ( MOT etc ) - dead easy, go for it Miff :mrgreen:
