I started to feel a bit of a 'wriggle' from the rear wheel recently. The tyre was a bit squared off but I've seen worse, and it had plenty of tread. Then I checked to see when I last changed the tyres and was shocked to find it was 13 months ago and I'd done almost exactly 8000 miles on them. The guy who changed them for me couldn't believe they'd done that many miles. Is that some kind of record? They're Metzler Roadtech Z6s.

I have only had my RF for 8 wks and only done 1200 mls but I say the rear is 25% worn ( new when bought).
I will not get that mileage from these Avon Azaros.
I was going to go for Bridgestone but I may change my mind.
How were Metzler's in the wet?

The Metzlers are great in the wet. £231 fitted.

Got 8,500 out of a Dunlop 208 sportsmax in about 16 months riding. Went square and down to the wear marks in the centre but the edge's were fine, if only I could ride on the edge's on the motorway....

Old wobbler

---------
I see that the RF900s that won the world 24 hours high speed record in 1994 were wearing Metzlers.
