I have a 97 900 and have a few questions. I need left rider foot peg and I cant seem to find any on the net. The one on my bike seems sprung or something. I must have been changed before because it doesnt look like the right one. What other bikes pegs will fit? Also what size handlebars are on my bike? I want to change to gel grips.

you have a good scope for pegs as the 600 and 1200 bandit are the same

OK thanks. Ive been looking at pics of other bikes and have noticed that the peg on the right has a weight of something sticking out from the bottom and the left dont. That is how mine is and I thought it was wrong. Is it supposed to be like that?

Those bits that stick out are supposed to come into contact with the ground before the peg, many people call them " Hero blobs " but its not uncommon for them to wear or break off from one side as many riders are more comfortable leaning one way than the other so if one of yours is missing dont worry about it, my left one is missing but I have seen left ones intact and right ones missing..

The actual weights to reduce vibration are blocks of iron underneath the peg, have a rummage underneath and you should feel it.

Can I suggest you grease your gear and brake lever bushes when you change the pegs? the pivots get full of grit and crap so get tight.

not a weight mate. it's a stud. when that reachs the floor your exhaust isn't far behind. it's kind of a warning system. it's not the left as there is no exhaust there.
