hi folks as some of you may know i changed my exhaust system yesterday .
I went to work on it this morning only to find the 2 L shape fairing panels that bolt on under the frame
Are catching the pipe work and melting the LHS is quite bad . the RHS is not too bad

Any tips ?
but first a question would i be wise to loosen the head bolts and try to turn the pipework so instead of sitting flat -ish the pipes are at an angle

Hope someone can help me

Russ
Thanks folks

his link pipe is too close to the undertray Inchi, there is no bracket system to bolt it to the underside of the engine like the OE system.

What I would think about trying Russ is making up a sling to go under the link pipe that bolts to the original mouting point under the engine.

funny you should say that neil i got some stainless from work to do just that job but
never put it on i had the idea ..
of 2 stainless jubilee clips then the metal strip folded and clips tightened around it then twist to get lined up with the hole
then bolt will post some photos when bike has cooled down i just got in from work 17.20

Ok well i stripped the bike down again tonight and seperated the down pipes from the back pipe
took the back pipes down the shed and got the pipes in the vice i squeezed them together gradually.
Then offered them back up to the downpipes connected them and while i was doing that i
got a pair of grips and eased the 2 mounting brackets for the 2 large panels outwards took an old sissor jack and put that under the pipe at the back.
took the jubilee clip and the stainless bracket got it in place and tightened up .
The LHS panel i bolted in the right place thats fine then the LHS belly pan panel that too was fine .
So then the RHS that was fine .so stripped it down as i never put the rad on to check the alignment of the 2 panels.
Then did a tidy up of tools till tomorrow but im confident that i have sorted it out now ...
