I've seen quite a few rf 9's in Germany which are limited to about 99 Hp, and I haven't stoped wondering if mine is. I know it's an import but don't know from where... Any of you know where the limiter is, so I can check it out?

cheers
Magnus

Erm.......don't know is my honest answer. Only guide i can give you is i'm running 126HP on the dyno and that equates to an indicated 170mph at 12K revs in 5th on standard gearing ( private road of course....... :? ) , does that help :?: :?:

On the older bikes Suzuki used to use a E coding which designated what country the bike as intended.

Look on the headstock area of the frame for a white square about the size of a postage stamp. This should have black writting with the letter E and a number e.g. E2.

Note an RF may not have this.

There's quite a variety of camshafts depending on which market the bike was originally intended for - some have the same cam inlet and exhaust, others have different (higher lift) inlet cams. It's a case of finding the 'E' mark and then trawling through the manual to see what should be in there.

And there's a pink wire of course ;)

Mine says E-6 on that little white sticker, but in it doesn't say what country that is in the manual, There is E 2,3 and 4 which is England, US and France... The next is E 15 - Finland... Where is E 6?

Pink wire? where is it, and what does it? :o
