A week ago I replaced a bulb in the speedo and one in the dash - very tricky to get at, but it can be done, perhaps being a little careful prising the bulb holders out with a small screwdriver.

I took all the surrounding plastics off, including the screen and the little panel inside the bottom of the screen just behind the dash - didnt have to take the nose plastics off (which I couldnt see how to get to anyway, because the clocks were in the way - catch 22!)

Good to know it can be done without taking the clocks out.
Did you replace the top or the bottom bulb in the speedo?
When you say one in the dash, do you mean one of the warning lights? its just that my high beam bulb also needs replacing...wondered if it was the same type of bulb???
Did you try a coloured LED bulb in the speedo or a standard one?

I actually did both in the speedo - i bought a few of each type (speedo are smaller than dash) and the new speedo one was brighter than the one still working, so replaced both.
The dash was the Oil light - which still doesn't work so it wasn't that, must be the sender.

No, I didnt get coloured bulbs, cos I went to my local bike parts dealer to get them. May get some later on though, want to try the reds in the speedo
