spent about an hour this morning going through things with this mechanic, still could not resolve the issue, went to get the ECU from the place you said about, tried it and still nothing, i have found the main connector block (next to the main fuse) full of gung, looks like oily emulsification, have removed plug and cables redressed with new connectors, battery on charge, just a waiting game now to see if its fixed the problem.

next step either,

sell bike as a non runner or
sell parts of the bike

Yp, going to sound daft here. Give the the kill switch a look at and see if that isn't shorting out killing the bike.

kill switch is fine as the bike is turning over just not firing.

one of the cables is black with a white stripe down, i have a feeling that this may go to the ECU directly from the main fuse terminal block, but need to check the drawings.

when you say "nothing" is that it wont start still or still no spark????when checking for spark remove all plugs as this will save your battery mate.

what caused it to die in the first place, did you do anything to it you usually wouldnt i.e wash it, drop it etc??? just trying to understand what it could be as the main things have been checked.....also did u strip the carbs down in the end?

Have you checked the cables from the 'points cover' up? Connectors? Fuse's?

Sorry, really scratching my head here.

Plug caps. Are you using the old ones? Unlikely to be all 4 at once failing.
